Hi, I'm Kat!

I graduated from the University of Victoria back in 2018 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts.

For most of my life I have lived on Vancouver Island; a truly inspiring place filled with endless bounty and beauty.

I've always believed that it's important to soak up the everyday magic that surrounds us. It's in the little things... the way a soft light can dance through a room each day, shapes and shadows, weather patterns, color contrasts, a surprise rainbow on your drive home from work, the list goes on.. each a special little glimmer of a moment in time, and a gift we often tend to overlook.

Since I was a child, painting has always been captivating to me. In my early adulthood I began to find a passion for cultivating gardens. Naturally these two acts of creation came together, and that is what you will often discover in most of my work.

The garden is my muse, and I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful inspiration.
